The Prospect began as a dream between two people who believed that a neighborhood bakery could be more than a place to grab bread — it could be a gathering point, a source of pride, and a testament to what happens when you refuse to cut corners.
We chose Vine Street intentionally. It's a neighborhood with history, character, and community — the kind of place where regulars know your name and a loaf of bread is an invitation to slow down.
Today, every recipe at The Prospect carries that same intention. We work with local millers, dairy farmers, and fruit growers across the Midwest. Our bakers train in classical techniques. Our grocery shelf features producers we've met and trust.
